At the USAT Olympic distance triathlon nationals the following two athletes won a National title.
Steven Smith from Granger Indiana took 1st in the M60-64 winning the National Grand Masters title. Steph Popelar from Parker, Colorado won her age group W40-44 winning the National Masters title.

Helge Babel from Fischentel Switzerland took 1st place in his M50-54 age group at the Challange Roth Iron Distance Triathlon in Germany. Helge clocked 8:53:37 including a sub 3 hour marathon, clearly one of the fastest Iron times ever by a 50+ year old.
